Reform Kitchen - A relatively Young Kitchen brand in the Kitchen Industry

Jeppe Christensen & Michael Andersen founded the company in 2014. They wanted to fill in the gap between IKEA kitchen and other high-end kitchen brands. They aimed for a designer product at a lower price as Siematic, Poggenpohl, Boffi, or Poliform. The Danish kitchen started as an IKEA hack brand. Reform sold designer cabinet doors for IKEA cabinet boxes.

Since the Danish brand Reform started in 2014 much has changed. They expanded into Germany and successfully into the US. Further, they moved away from the IKEA boxes and started to produce their own containers.

Quality - What are Reform Kitchens made of?

Reform cabinets are modular cabinets. As a flat pack product they are a ready-to-assemble solution. All cabinets use high-quality materials.

Cabinet boxes:

All boxes use Melamine Faced Chipboard. It's a type of engineered wood product. It consists of a chipboard covered with melamine resin-impregnated paper. The material is TSCA & CARB certified. The cabinet box construction is robust with its thick panels. All panels are 18 mm (45/64 inch) thick. High-density-fiberboard (HDF) is used for the back panel.

Inside Storage Solutions:

You have several options for the interiors. Choose between steel or solid wood drawers. Solid wood options are offered in smoked oak, natural oak, and ash finishes. The drawer boxes are finished with a matt lacquer for easy cleaning.

The steel drawer options come in a light design with a laminated chipboard bottom. You can choose between a black or white drawer box.

Glides & Hinges:

All drawers and pull-out run on Blum glides. The Movento Series is a high-quality product. Al glides feature a soft close function and can be upgraded to a Blumotion push-to open solution. This way you can plan without handles.

Customization - Custom Sizes

Kitchen with Reform cannot be customized. Cabinets, shelves as well as drawers are not available in custom sizes. Be aware that the brand offers custom-sized cabinet fronts or cover panels that does not include an entire kitchen. Yet you can talk to the kitchen planners for to get a custom panel for your dishwasher of fridge.
